Baby Lima Beans

Yields: 4-6


  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds (Whole)
  • 1 Packet Baby Lima Beans (frozen)
  • 1 Tablespoon Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Salt To taste
  • Vegetable oil as needed


  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a dry saucepan.
  • Add mustard seeds into the oil and immediately cover the saucepan!
  • As soon as the mustard seeds start to pop, turn off the heat so the mustard seeds do not burn!!
  • Add the chopped onion and saute it for a few minutes.
  • Add the frozen Baby Lima beans and cook until it is barely done. Cook only for a few minutes. DO NOT OVER COOK.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle the coconut flakes on the cooked Baby Lima Beans.
